Job Description
- Prepare and file complex tax returns on behalf of clients
- Compile supporting financial statements and documents
- Review returns prepared by junior accountants
- Handle tax audits with tax officers
- Respond to enquiries from tax officers and advise clients potential tax related risk and propose relevant solutions
- Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
- Establish chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting system, making use of current computer technology
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent plus a minimum of three-year related experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Experience with preparation of financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end closing process
- Having external audit working experience is a plus
- Fluency of English, both orally and in writing
- Chinese literacy is a plus
- Excellent accounting software (QuickBooks) user and administration skills
