Tax supervisor will serve certain roles to implement Tax Department through providing valuable service to the clients and provide on job training of staff under the division. In order to fulfill the objectives major responsibilities will be following:
Develop an effective Tax Working Papers.
Provide training, coaching, and guidance to staff in conducting their jobs effectively.
Identifying, researching and helping to resolve all complex tax and business issues.
Perform related work as assigned by Tax Manager.
Tax consultancy and Advisory
Advising clients with clarity in areas of expertise
Overseas enterprises including use of jurisdictions with favorable double tax treaties, and knowledge of transfer pricing.
Implementation of tax planning arrangements
Deal with Tax Authorities for tax issue clearances and the drafting of all necessary documentation
Ad hoc tax advisory work
Attending conferences with Tax Counsel
Drafting of documentation in respect of tax advice.
Dealing with Tax Authority enquiries following the implementation of the advice.
Liaising with third party professionals including solicitors, other accountant, tax advisers and independent financial advisers
Tax compliance and Control
You will be required to support the compliance review of self-assessment tax returns such as:
Review of clients’ tax returns including those for individual and trusts.
Review of corporation tax computations.
Providing tax technical support to the tax team, audit and accounts department.
Looking after a portfolio of individual and trust clients and ensuring they meet their compliance obligations in a timely manner.
Dealing with Tax Authority enquiries in respect of compliance issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
University degree in accounting, finance or audit
Graduated or almost graduated CPA is preferred
Good communication and written English skills required.
A team player with strong inter-personal skills.
Internationally mobile and able to travel.
Fluency in English both written and oral is essential.
Diploma of Taxation from National Tax School is highly preferable
